Abia Warriors Grind Out Win Against Akwa United
Published: June 21, 2015A first half strike from Ndifreke Effiong was all that Abia Warriors needed to snatch three points in a 1-0 win over Akwa United.
Ladan Bosso’s side came into the game with half heart after they were unlucky to lose one-nil to Enugu Rangers on Wednesday.
And they managed to win against the Promise Keepers thanks to Effiong’s goal sixteen minutes into the match.
Effiong’s cross from the right flank sailed into the net, much to the surprise of goalkeeper Olufemi Kayode.
Akwa United were unable to force an equaliser in the remainder of the game.
