Portland Timbers Striker Fanendo Adi Named MLS Player Of The Week

Fanendo Adi has been recognized for his imperious display against Seattle Sounders after he was named Major League Soccer Player of the Week for the 16th round of matches in the championship.
The Portland Timbers striker notched a second half brace to take his tally for the season to 8 goals in 18 matches.
The 24 - year - old Adi has netted three braces so far in the 2015 season, having scored a pair of goals against LA Galaxy and New England Revolution.
The MLS Player of the Week is selected by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR), which consists of journalists working in print, television and online media.
Fanendo Adi is the second Nigerian player to be named Player of the Week this season, following in Obafemi Martins footsteps.
