Portland Timbers DP Fanendo Adi On Shortlist For MLS Player of the Month Award
Published: July 01, 2015Portland Timbers forward Fanendo Adi has been nominated for the Etihad Airways MLS Player of the Month Award for June.
Joining the 24 - year - old on the five - man shortlist announced on Wednesday are Sebastian Giovinco (Toronto FC), David Ousted, (Vancouver Whitecaps) , C.J. Sapong (Philadelphia Union )and Matías Pérez García(San Jose Earthquakes).
In the month of June, Fanendo Adi scored four goals , including the brace he netted in the Timbers 4 - 1 thrashing of Seattle Sounders last weekend.
The Nigerian helped Portland Timbers defeat New England Revolution by notching a brace in the 2 - 0 win.
The DP was recently voted the most outstanding player in the MLS for the 16th round of games.
