Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv are through to the third qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League after thrashing  Hibernians 5 - 1 on Tuesday night.

Over two legs, the Yellows  beat their opponents 6 - 3 on aggregate and will face Viktoria PlzeÅ� in the next round.

Nigeria international Nosa Igiebor played the full 90 minutes and extended his goalscoring streak in Europe’s flagship club competition to two games, with an 82nd minute goal against the Maltese Premier League champions.

Youngster Joseph Mbong was subbed on in the 88th minute, with Hibs trailing the home team 4  - 1 on the night.

Ex Heartland stopper Ovye Shedrack worked 90 minutes in defense as FC Milsami knocked Ludogorets out of the competition.

Danish Superliga champions FC Midtjylland also reached the third round on the back of their 2 - 0 away win over Lincoln .Paul Onuachu was an unused substitute.
