NFF Supremo Pinnick Motivates Super Falcons Ahead Of Crunch Tie With Equatorial Guinea
Published: July 30, 2015
NFF President Amaju Pinnick has charged the Super Falcons to go all out for victory when they confront Equatorial Guinea on Sunday in an Olympic qualifier.
The African champions , who did not qualify for the last edition of the Olympic Games, find themselves in a precarious position after playing out a 1 - 1 draw with the opponents in Abuja around two weeks ago.
“On Sunday, Nigerians expect you to deliver as you have always done. A place in the final round of the qualifying race to the Olympics is certainly within your grasp,” Pinnick said in a press release, according to thenff.com.
Interim coach Chris Danjuma added : “The way it is, we have no choice but to fight and fight, because we must score goals. I want to assure Nigerians that my team is up to the task.”
The squad, consisting of 18 players, left Abuja on Thursday morning.
