Fanendo Adi Breaks His Single - Season Scoring Record

In a Major League Soccer game involving two Nigerian players, Fanendo Adi scored the winner as Portland Timbers struggled tto beat Kennedy Igboananike’s Chicago Fire on Saturday morning.
Fanendo Adi struck in the 48th minute at Providence Park to take his tally this season to 10 goals from 24 matches.
Before then, the 24 - year - old would have opened scoring in the 18th minute but his goal was ruled to have been offside.
The former Dynamo Kiev and FC Copenhagen striker has now set a new record for number of goals scored in a single - season for a particular club.
Striker Kennedy Igboananike subbed on in the 68th minute but fired blanks.
