Obafemi Martins Wins AT&T Goal of the Week Award
Published: August 21, 2015Seattle Sounders star Obafemi Martins has won the the AT&T Goal of the Week award for his strike against Orlando City in the MLS last weekend.
The Nigeria international was up against Paulo Nagamura (Sporting Kansas City ), Nat Borchers (Portland Timbers), David Villa (New York City) and Pedro Morales (Vancouver Whitecaps) for the accolade.
Obafemi Martins received 45.34 percent of the votes beating Nat Borchers of Portland Timbers to second place (21.97%).
Pedro Morales and Paulo Nagamura finished third and fourth respectively, ahead of David Villa, who got 9.19 % of the votes.
Martins has now won the Goal of the Week award three times this season.
