2013 African Cup of Nations top scorer Emmanuel Emenike has not hit target for the Super Eagles since his brace against Ethiopia in October 2013 in a World Cup qualifying tie held in Addis Ababa.

Since his last goal in the 90th minute against the Walya Antelopes, the Fenerbahce loanee has put on the green - white - green jersey for 1,147 minutes, a run of 15 games, without finding the back of the net.

The 28 - year - old striker is hoping to end his dry spell in front of goal this Saturday in the Afcon qualifier against Tanzania.

“I look forward to scoring against Tanzania. I am very determined to score again for Nigeria. I’m not happy for the long drought, ” Emenike told thenff.com.

“The match in Tanzania is a must-win for us. I am very happy with our Coach (Sunday Oliseh) and the assistants, and the approach to training sessions. Their approach brings out the best from the players. ”

Emmanuel Emenike has racked up 35 appearances for the Super Eagles since he made his debut against Sierra Leone in a friendly.
