Published: September 22, 2015
Lillestrom midfielder Innocent Bonke is delighted with the progress he has made at the Norwegian Tippeligaen club in 2015 but has admitted that he needs to add goals to his game.
At the start of this season, injuries limited his appearances but he now has 16 games under his belt in the league, including last Saturday’s tie against IK Start at the Sor Arena, where he featured for 90 minutes.
“I want to thank God Almighty for everything he has done for me so far in the league this season, ' Innocent Bonke told allnigeriasoccer.com.
“ It has been a great season for me so far, I never thought I was going to start from the starting eleven this season after I was out for six weeks befor the season started in April.
“But I came back stronger and I worked hard to get myself back into Lillestrom’s squad.”
Six matches before the end of the championship, Bonke has declared that he wants to consistently make manager Runar Kristinsson’s starting line - up.
'My performance has been good so far, I am trying to maintain the form and the first eleven jersey through the season.
“ One area in my game that I need to improve on is my scoring ability,” the 19 - year - old concluded.
