Golden Eaglets Gear Up For World Cup With Win Over Shekarau Babes

The Golden Eaglets defeated Nationwide One side Shekarau Babes 2-1 on Tuesday as part of their preparations for the Fifa Under 17 World Cup which kicks off on October 17 in Chile.
The win was their second in as many days after beating Dabo Babes on Monday at the NFF-FIFA Goal Project Pitch thanks to Victor Osimhen’s goal.
And it was the African Under 17 Championship top scorer that notched the winner today at the at the Abuja National Stadiumfive minutes from time.
Adam Khalifa opened the scoring for the Kano - based side before Ebere Emeka equalized for the world champions.
Emmanuel Amuneke’s side have been drawn into Group A at the World Cup and open their tournament with a game against United States at Estadio Nacional Julio Martínez Prádanos, Santiago on October 17.
