Gbolahan Salami, Solomon Kwambe Called Up To Super Eagles Squad
Published: September 29, 2015Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh and his lieutenants have called up 19 players plying their trade in the domestic championship to a get - together ahead of the African Nations Championship qualifier against Burkina Faso on October 18.
An analysis of the roster announced on Tuesday morning revealed that 2 goalkeepers, 6 defenders, 5 midfielders and 6 strikers will be observed at close quarters during the training camp which begins October 4 in Port Harcourt.
Of the 12 Nigeria Professional Football League teams represented in the provisional squad list, Enyimba, Warri Wolves and Sunshine Stars have contributed three players each followed by Enugu Rangers who have 2 players in the squad in the shape of Kalu Orji and Osas Okoro.
Solomon Kwambe, Usman Mohammed and Gbolahan Salami, who have caps for the senior national team, have been invited.
Six players - Femi Thomas, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Chima Akas,Austin Oboroakpo, Paul Onobi and Prince Aggrey - will beef up the team after the international friendlies in Belgium against DRC and Cameroon.
