Golden Eaglets Departure Date Tentatively Fixed For October 1
Published: September 29, 2015The Golden Eaglets haven’t left yet for Argentina, where they are scheduled to hold a training camp ahead of the Fifa Under 17s, due to uncertainties surrounding their visa applications to the South American country.
Based on the previous itinerary, the players and officials were supposed to depart Abuja on Tuesday, September 29 but that date has been shifted and their new departure date has been tentatively fixed for October 1.
“It is likely they are moving on Thursday, which is not yet confirmed. The visas to Argentina have been approved but not in their possession, ” an unnamed NFF insider told allnigeriasoccer.com.
The Nigeria Under 17s manager Emmanuel Amuneke continues to fine - tune his strategies for the World Cup, with another training session held at the National Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday.
A very important guest, NFF President Amaju Pinnick, watched the team’s workout today.
