Leke James Reveals Celtic Have Not Made Official Contact With Aalesund
Aalesund striker Leke James has confirmed that he was watched by Celtic last weekend in the Tippeligaen game against Tromso but talks of an imminent move are not realistic for now as an official approach has not been made by the Scottish champions.

For the third season in a row, the 22 - year - old will finish the season with at least 10 goals after finding the back of the net in AaFK’s 3 - 1 loss to Chuks Akabueze’s Odd Grenland on September 20.

“There has been no contact with Celtic, they just scouted me, ” Leke James told allnigeriasoccer.com on Wednesday morning.

“It is a good thing to be linked with Celtic. If the opportunity comes, of course, I would love to join a big club like Celtic.

“My contract is approaching the end. Hopefully Aalesund will allow me leave if they receive a good offer.”

In 2014, Tom Tomsk, Kuban Krasnodar And Krylia Sovetov had explored the possibility of signing Leke James from Aalesund but the Norwegian club turned down the requests from Russia, this website can exclusively report.

And in the summer transfer market this year, he was heavily linked with a transfer to Guangzhou R&F but the move did not materialize.
