Vincent Enyeama, Godfrey Oboabona And Abdullahi Shehu Still Being Expected
Published: October 05, 2015Lille netminder Vincent Enyeama, União da Madeira’s Abdullahi Shehu and Rizespor stopper Godfrey Oboabona were the only players being expected to hit the Super Eagles camp in Belgium as at 1730 hours Nigerian time on Monday, bearing in mind that Victor Moses has withdrawn from the squad.
This past week, Nigeria skipper Enyeama was permitted by his French club to travel to his homeland to bury his late mother but the Nigeria Federation are keeping their lips sealed on whether he has been excused from the two games.
On the other hand, ex Sunshine Stars captain Godfrey Oboabona is still in Turkey as the Belgian embassy has not released his international passport three days before the Super Eagles first game against Democratic Republic of Congo.
15 players, including Academica midfielder Obiora Nwankwo who arrived camp last, trained at the R. Battice FC training ground on Monday evening.
The team will have two training sessions on Tuesday, at 10 am and 2 pm, at the same venue.
