Liverpool Loanee Sheyi Ojo Honoured To Represent England
Published: October 08, 2015
Liverpool loanee Sheyi Ojo , who is eligible to represent Nigeria, says it’s an honour to play for the youth teams of England.
The winger picked up from where he left off last season at international level, scoring on his debut for England Under 19s before helping the team draw 1 - 1 with Croatia.
“Every time I get picked for England it is an honour and I just want to do well in every appearance I make,” Ojo said to thefa.com.
“I was lucky enough to play quite a bit last season for the U18s and perform well.
“Last month we played Germany and Croatia and got another goal in them, so now my target is to try and keep that going at this age group and keep progressing.”
The 18 - year - old Ojo will be hoping to add to his international caps on Thursday afternoon when England Under 19s take on Macedonia in a European U19s Championship First round qualifier in Skopje.
