Chisom Chikatara Bags Brace As Super Eagles Thrash Blessed Academy In Scrimmage
Published: October 08, 2015The home - based Super Eagles thrashed Blessed Academy of Port Harcourt 6-2 in a test game ahead of their African Nations Championship qualifier against Burkina Faso next weekend.
The Salisu Yusuf - led side were 2 - 0 up at half time courtesy of goals from Gbolahan Salami ( 8th minute) and Tunde Adeniji(36th minute).
On the resumption of the second half, substitute Chisom Chikatara made it 3 - 0 for the Super Eagles after he was set up by Usman Mohammed, before Osas Okoro increased their lead.
Chisom Chikatara and Ezekiel Bassey netted the Super Eagles fifth and sixth goals respectively.
The four home - based players instructed to join the CHAN team after the late issuance of visas by the Belgian embassy did not feature in the scrimmage.
