Golden Eaglets striker Victor Osimhen has issued a warning to the Nigeria U17s group rivals - United States, Chile and Croatia - revealing that the team can defend the trophy they won in the United Arab Emirates two years ago.
The Nigeria delegation arrived in Santiago on Wednesday morning after holding a training camp in Buenos Aires, where they played two warm - up games ahead of their World Cup opener against the USA on Saturday night.
“We are here to win,” Osimhen said in a press release sent by the Nigeria Football Federation.
“Just as the coach said, we are here to write our own story as a team and players.”
The Ultimate Strikers product is in good form going into the tournament, having notched up 39 goals from 71 matches, including friendly games against clubs and international matches.
