Nwankwo Kanu Hails Golden Eaglets For Big Win Vs Australia
Published: October 29, 2015Former Nigeria international Nwankwo Kanu has urged the Golden Eaglets not to rest on their laurels after winning their third game at the Fifa Under 17s and qualifying for the last eight.
Kanu was impressed with the manner the Emmanuel Amuneke - led side bounced back after losing 2 - 1 to Croatia in their final Group A fixture.
“Congrats Amunike and all the boys.That’s the way champions play and come back from losing a match and win in style . Go on and win the cup,” said the ex Arsenal, Ajax Amsterdam and Inter Milan striker via social media.
Now 39, Nwankwo Kanu was one of the stars at the Fifa Under 17 World Cup hosted by Japan in 1993, scoring five goals as the Golden Eaglets won the tournament for the second time.
