Knee Injury Rules Leon Balogun Out Of World Cup Qualifiers

The German - born defender has been struggling with an injury for the past few weeks and aggravated it during the meeting against Wolfsburg on Saturday after receiving a kick on his left ankle and left knee.
Club medics have advised Leon Balogun to remain in Rhineland-Palatinate to undergo further treatment instead of traveling to Abuja to join his international teammates.
Former Tavriya (Ukraine) and Olympiakos Nicosia center back Jamiu Alimi has replaced Balogun in the Super Eagles roster.
