Junior Ajayi Will Deliver Goals At U-23 Africa Cup of Nations, Says Rep
Published: November 21, 2015
CS Sfaxien striker Junior Ajayi will join the Nigeria Under - 23s at their training camp in Gambia latest Sunday, according to his Tunisian representative Mahmoud Ouaddeni.
Despite Ajayi not training with the Dream Team for more than two months, Ouaddeni is confident that the former Shooting Stars frontman will sparkle at the Under 23 Africa Cup of Nations in Senegal just as he has been scoring goals aplenty in the Tunisian Ligue 1.
“Junior Ajayi will leave Tunisia this evening via Air Maroc and will arrive in Banjul Airport tomorrow,” said Mahmoud Ouaddeni.
“He is one of the best strikers in the Tunisian Ligue 1, so he will be as fit as the rest going to the tournament, and I also hope that the coach (Samson Siasia) is monitoring Bernard Bulbwa, who scored yesterday for his team, Esperance.”
He continued : “Junior’s job is to score goals and that is what he is doing in the Tunisian League and the same with the Under 23 team and I think he can adapt to any team or the coach’s tactics.
'Now he is having the experience of playing with CSS and they top the league. We are so happy that Alhaji Gafar accepted that he should progress with CSS.”
Junior Ajayi was in action on Friday as CS Sfaxien secured a 2 - 2 draw with JS Kairouan in the Tunisian top flight.
