Bright Dike, Jalil Anibaba Among 60 Players Listed For Re-Entry Draft
Published: December 08, 2015Major League Soccer has announced a list of 60 players who are eligible for Re-Entry Draft and two players of Nigerian descent were included.
Nigeria international Bright Dike, who has been a free agent for four months following his release by Toronto, and ex Sporting Kansas defender Jalil Anibaba will automatically be added to a club’s roster for the 2016 season if they are picked in Stage 1.
In Stage 2, players who were not selected in Stage 1 will be available and the teams signing them have the right to negotiate a new contract with the players.
Stage 1 of the Re-Entry Draft will take place on Friday, December 11, while Stage 2 is on Thursday, December 17.
In the just concluded season, Bright Dike appeared twice in the MLS, while Anibaba played 16 games for Sporting KC.
