Osaguona Ighodaro Plays First Game Of The Season For Raja Casablanca
Published: December 21, 2015
Osaguona Ighodaro played his first game of the 2015 - 16 season for Raja Casablanca in their goalless draw with bitter rivals Wydad Casablanca in a Brotola Pro game on Sunday.
Five days after Ighodaro began training with The Green, manager Rachid Taoussi named the Nigeria international in his starting XI for the clash against Wydad.
Despite being inactive six months before the contest at Stade Mohammed V, the former Enugu Rangers star proved a handful for the Wydad defenders and had chances to net the winner before he was substituted late in the second half.
Having unilaterally terminated his contract with Raja in the summer, the club had to send his name to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation for approval before he was allowed to participate in yesterday’s game.
His name had been removed from the official list before the start of this season after failing to turn up for pre - season training.
