Nigeria U23 internationals Usman Mohammed and Bature Yaro have both linked up with the home - based Super Eagles squad in Abuja ahead of next month’s African Nations Championship.

The Taraba United midfielder and Nasarawa United star Bature Yaro were given an extra week to report to camp after representing the Dream Team at the Africa U-23 Cup of Nations earlier this month.

For the first time, the two midfielders trained with the squad on Monday evening and will be involved in the practice sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Due to the Christmas festivities, there will be no training on December 25 and 26 but the team will resume preparations for the tournament in Rwanda on Sunday, December 27.

All the invited players are now in camp except Enugu Rangers defender Kalu Orji who will join the squad after the Christmas break.
