West Brom Coach Hails Top Player Victor Anichebe
Published: December 29, 2015
Super Eagles striker Victor Anichebe has been praised by West Brom manager Tony Pulis following his brilliant performance against Newcastle United on Monday afternoon.
In his first start of this season, Anichebe was a constant threat in attacking positions and would have opened his goalscoring account for the 2015 - 16 campaign in the 75th minute but headed into the ground and against the crossbar from a corner taken by Sessegnon.
“He’s a top player. When Victor turns up he’s a top player,” Tony Pulis said to reporters.
"He’s shown that today, he was a handful for them and they just couldn’t handle him.”
Anichebe will be assessed by the medics ahead of the Stoke City clash as he had to be substituted in the 88th minute against Newcastle due to injury.
