Nigeria Finalizes 2016 African Nations Championship Roster, Usman Mohammed Included

Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh announced a 23 - player roster for the upcoming African Nations Championship in Rwanda just before the team jetted out to Pretoria in South Africa for a get - together.
The former Ajax Amsterdam and Juventus midfielder has included three goalkeepers in the roster in the shape of Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Femi Thomas and Okiemute Odah.
7 defenders, 7 midfielders and 5 strikers are expected to fly out of Abuja to South Africa on Saturday morning, including Taraba United skipper Usman Mohammed.
Lobi Stars defender Samson Gbadebo has made the squadlist but didn’t travel with the squad because he is processing his visa to South Africa.
From the original 26 players called up to the training camp, three players were dropped - Julius Ubido (Heartland FC), David Obiazor (Heartland FC) and Gbolahan Salami (Warri Wolves).
The Super Eagles will play friendlies against Angola and Ivory Coast on January 6 and January 11 respectively while in South Africa.
