Uche Agbo Says Win Against Sevilla Will Boost Confidence Ahead Showdown With Barcelona
Published: January 04, 2016Ex - Flying Eagles midfielder Uche Agbo has spoken of his happiness after assisting Granada defeat Sevilla in the Primera Division on Sunday, and has stressed that the Andalusian side deserved their win over the more illustrious opponents.
The former Enyimba star reckons that Granada will go into the next game against Barcelona full of confidence, having beaten the current Europa League holders Sevilla.
“All the players played their hearts out. Throughout the week, the coach was emphasizing on covering the spaces and that we should play our best, ” Agbo said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Our next game is against Barcelona, so we needed a victory to boost our confidence. I believe we can escape relegation, we are focused.”
Agbo admitted that he is gradually being introduced to the rigours of the Spanish La Liga unlike teammate Isaac Success, who is one of Granada`s most important players.
“Success has been in top shape since the season started, he is one of the best players in Granada, everybody believes in him.
“I am trying to come into the team, they want to start introducing me to La Liga gradually, ” the 20 - year - old concluded.
Uche Agbo has been included in Granada`s 18 - man squad for La Liga games on eight occasions this season, but his four appearances came off the bench including the game against Sevilla when he was introduced in the 72nd minute.
