Catch up on the performance of players of Nigerian descent in the Emirates FA Cup on Saturday evening.

Holders Arsenal are through to the fourth round on the heels of their 3 - 1 victory over Sunderland at the Emirates. Super Eagles youngster Alex Iwobi made his debut in the competition lasting 67 minutes on the pitch before he was replaced.

 Kelechi Iheanacho played his first game in the FA Cup and from the first minute as Manchester City saw off Norwich City ( 3  - 0).

The attacker gave the Citizens a two - goal lead just after the half - hour mark. He came off five minutes from time.

Dream Team VI target Viv Solomon-Otabor played 68 minutes of Birmingham City’s 2 - 1 loss to AFC Bournemouth at St. Andrew’s Stadium.

Super Eagles star Odion Ighalo came on in the 73rd minute in Watford’s hard fought 1 - 0 win over Newcastle United. Teammate Ikechi Anya joined the fray immediately after the intermission.

Victor Anichebe is still recovering from a hamstring problem so was missing from the West Brom squad that drew 2 - 2 with Bristol City.

Victor Moses is still a week away or so from returning to full fitness and did not feature in West Ham United’s 1 -o victory over Wolves. The visitors had Anglo - Nigerian pair Carl Ikeme and Dominic Iorfa in their squad for the entirety of the game.

Josh Umerah watched proceedings from the bench as Charlton Athletic were beaten 2 - 1 by Colchester United. Ademola Lookman did not make the Addicks squad.

Bury number 6 Kevin Etuhu went the distance in his side’s goalless draw with Bradford City.

Everton will be one of the teams in the fourth round draw following their 2 - 0 win against Dagenham & Redbridge at Goodison Park. Ross Barkley was an unused substitute.

Nedum Onuoha and Queens Park Rangers have crashed out of the competition. The central defender was in action for 90 minutes as the Londoners lost 1 - 0 to Nottingham Forest.

Yemi Odubade had to be replaced in the 35th minute as National League side Eastleigh held Shola Ameobi’s Bolton Wanderers to a 1 - 1 draw.  Ameobi came on in the 71st minute.

Hull City will find out their fourth round opponents in the coming days after beating Brighton & Hove 1 - 0 at the KC Stadium.

Both Sone Aluko and Moses Odubajo were handed starting berths for this one. The Super Eagles striker was in action until the 85th minute.

Peter Odemwingie finally made Stoke City’s 18 - man squad for their trip to Yorkshire where they faced Doncaster Rovers (2  - 1). He was an unused substitute, though, but his team advance to the next round.

In the early kickoff, Wycombe Wanderers played out a 1 - 1 draw with Aston Villa, who were without Gabby Agbonlahor.

The Blues striker Amadi-Holloway was cautioned in the 52nd minute before he was replaced by Gozie Ugwu 18 minutes later.Jermaine Udumaga watched proceedings from the bench.
