Ezekiel Bassey Predicts : Nigeria 2 Tunisia 0
Published: January 21, 2016Super Eagles striker Ezekiel Bassey did not think twice when he was put on the spot and asked to predict the outcome of the African Nations Championship clash between Nigeria and Tunisia on Friday.
The Enyimba goal poacher is aware that victory against the North Africans will seal qualification to the knock out rounds of the competition and has stressed that the Super Eagles must play at full throttle.
“We cannot afford to slip throughout the ninety minutes, knowing so well that a win over Tunisia will make us qualify for the quarterfinals, ” said Ezekiel Bassey to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“I pray that we should be at our best to enable us face Tunisia squarely. All the players in our squad have potential and are talented.
“I am predicting that Nigeria will beat Tunisia 2 - 0.”
Ezekiel Bassey was one of the nine players in the Super Eagles roster that was not given a run - out against Niger Republic, with coach Sunday Oliseh preferring Prince Aggrey and Tunde Adeniji to lead the frontline.
