Manchester City Rising Star Iheanacho Happy With Teammates
Published: February 01, 2016Manchester City rising star Kelechi Iheanacho was grateful to his teammates after they chanted his name in the dressing room following his hat-trick against Aston Villa in the FA Cup on Saturday.
After his post-match interview, the Nigeria national-teamer was welcomed by the Citizens players singing ‘Iheanacho, Iheanacho’ chant which was initially sang by the traveling fans at Villa Park.
“I couldn’t believe that, it was a great feeling for me, so I’m happy, being among them and playing with them, ” said Iheanacho.
“I’m very happy having them as my teammates, they help me in training and in games.
“They help me to keep going so I’m happy.”
Manchester City have a hundred percent record in the six matches across all competitions that the ex-Golden Eaglets star has found the net.
The 19-year-old Iheanacho is the youngest City player to bag a treble in the last 60 years.
