Liverpool Include Bobby Adekanye, Five Other Nigerians In Premier League Roster
Published: February 04, 2016
Liverpool have included six players of Nigerian descent in their updated roster sent to the Premier League after the winter transfer market slammed shut on Monday night.
Though he primarily represents the U18s squad, Holland U16 international Bobby Adekanye could be in line for a shock official debut for The Reds, having made the squad list.
Dream Team VI star Taiwo Awonyi, who has been loaned out to FSV Frankfurt until the summer, has also been named to the roster as an Under - 21 player.
One of the biggest stars of the Academy Team, Ovie Ejaria, will be hoping to play competitively for the first team after five appearances for the U21s in the U21 Premier League. He’s in the squad as well.
England youth internationals Jordon Ibe and Sheyi Ojo have both been registered as U21 players while Portugal youth-teamer Tiago Ilori is among the 25 squad players.
