NFF Supremo Pinnick Impressed With Ighalo, Etebo, Osimhen & Chikatara
Published: February 12, 2016
The NFF President Amaju Pinnick has appealed to Nigerians to believe in the leadership of the Nigerian Federation and has stressed that the national team can achieve an appreciable level of success on the pitch if all stakeholders are working in unison.
Pinnick pointed out that several talents abound in the country and reserved special praise for Watford striker Odion Ighalo, who has set the Premier League alight this season, and Abia Warriors poster boy Chisom Chikatara.
“We can do it, I have that strong feeling that we can do it, we can not only qualify for the World Cup but get to an appreciable level in the World Cup because we have the talents,” said Pinnick.
“Look at what Ighalo is doing in England, look at what Chikatara did, look at what Etebo did in the U23, look at what Victor did in the Under-17.
“Look at the various strata that if you harmonize this, don’t you think Nigeria can win the World Cup.”
The Super Eagles will face North African powerhouse Egypt in an African Cup of Nations qualifiers double-header next month.
