Moses Simon Doubtful For Gent Champions League Tie Vs Wolfsburg
Published: February 12, 2016KAA Gent winger Moses Simon is doubtful for the Belgian champions’ UEFA Champions League clash against Wolfsburg on Wednesday on account of injury.
In the 28th minute of Friday’s Pro League tie with Mouscron-Péruwelz , the Nigeria national-teamer had to make way for Mbark Boussoufa after clashing with an opponent.
The winger will undergo tests this weekend to determine the extent of injury and if he will be included in the squad to face the Germans.
Against Mouscron-Péruwelz, Simon was given much freedom in attack and would have given Gent the lead in the second minute but fluffed his chance.
Of his 29 appearances for Gent across all competitions this term, 3 were in the Champions League, against Lyon, Valencia and Zenit St Petersburg.
