Nigeria Federation Announces Coaching Changes In National Team Setup
Former Barcelona winger Emmanuel Amuneke has been appointed coach of Nigeria’s U20 National Team, Flying Eagles, the Nigeria Football Federation has announced through official sources.

Emmanuel Amuneke, a retired Nigeria international, led the Golden Eaglets to their fifth triumph at the Fifa Under 17s held in Chile late last year and in doing so became the first coach to win the tournament outside Asia.

Amuneke,who turned 45 on Christmas Day,will be assisted  by Kabiru Baleria (assistant coach) and Emeka Amadi(goalkeeper trainer).

In a related development, ex Falcons skipper Florence Omagbemi has replaced Christopher Danjamu as interim head coach of Nigeria’s Women’s team.

Perpetua Nkwocha, Ann Chiejine and Bala Mohammed are among her coaching staff.

The Nigerian Federation has also disclosed that ex-Ajax Amsterdam winger Tijani Babangida has been relieved of his appointment as personal assistant to Super Eagles manager Sunday Oliseh.
