Ex-Golden Eaglets Star Umar Ahmed Tips Prespa Birlik To Win Title
Published: March 13, 2016Former Nigeria U17 international Umar Ahmed is confident that KSF Prespa Birlik.will gain promotion to the Swedish Superettan at the end of the 2016 season.
The midfielder recently penned a one-and-half-year deal with the Malmo-based side, ending his collaboration with Gee-lec International Academy, where he spent his formative years.
“From what I have seen during the pre-season training, I think we will deliver in the new season. Our target is to be at the top of the league and win it, ” Umar Ahmed said to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“They have been nice to me since I arrived here, explain things that I don’t understand while training.”
Now 19, Umar Ahmed starred for the Golden Eaglets at the 2013 African U-17 Championship that was staged in Morocco and trained with the Flying Eagles before moving to Sweden.
The teenager opened his goalscoring account for KSF Prespa Birlik in their 4-1 hammering of Danish team AB Tårnby in a friendly held last week.
