Revealed : Alex Iwobi Found Out He Will Start Against Barcelona EIGHT Hours Before Game
Published: March 17, 2016
Arsenal attacking midfielder Alex Iwobi only found out that he was included in the starting XI to face Barcelona less than eight hours before the contest at the Camp Nou, it has come to light.
And his uncle, Emmanuel Okocha, has revealed that he was not intimidated to be playing in front of more than 75,000 fans, given his impressive performance against the defending champions.
“Alex only knew he was starting the game against Barcelona at 1 pm and he did so well, this will build up his confidence,” said Okocha to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“We have not seen half of what he can do, he is playing to instructions and a bit unlucky not to score.
“With time he will exhibit his individual brilliance, he is a tactically disciplined player.”
Including Wednesday night’s tie against Barcelona, Alex Iwobi has recorded 13 appearances for the first team of Arsenal this season, racking up 530 minutes of game time in the process.
