Arsenal Hero Kanu Calls For Fans Backing Ahead Showdown Against Egypt
Published: March 25, 2016Retired Nigeria international Nwankwo Kanu has called on the fans to show their support ahead of Friday evening’s crucial African Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt in Kaduna.
The former Arsenal hero reckons that the Super Eagles are poised to pick up their second win in the qualifying campaign.
It’s time for all to show our support to Super Eagles, is a game we need and I know the players are ready for it so let’s pray for them to win,” Nwankwo Kanu tweeted.
Now 39, Kanu assisted the Nigeria national team come second at the 2000 African Cup of Nations.
He scored 12 goals in 87 games over a seventeen-year international career.
