Olowu,Olayinka & Amaechi Help Arsenal Record Win Vs Ajax In Future Cup

Three players of Nigerian descent were named in the starting line-up for Arsenal on Sunday as they recorded a 2-1 win over Ajax at the ongoing ABN AMRO Future Cup.
Central defender Joseph Olowu, midfielder Xavier Amaechi and Olayinka were in action against the Dutch opponents, but it was Amaechi that grabbed the headlines for scoring Arsenal’s second goal.
Olowu was dismissed in Arsenal’s first Group A fixture against Red Bull Salzburg after he handled the ball in the 18-yard box.
The Gunners reward for winning their three matches in the group is a meeting with Barcelona in the semifinal on Monday.
Liverpool’s England youth-teamer Sheyi Ojo was the top scorer at the 2014 edition of the tournament with four goals.
