Super Eagles Finally Train At Match Venue
Published: March 29, 2016According to the Nigeria Football Federation, the Super Eagles finally had a feel of the match venue, the Borg El-Arab Stadium, Alexandria, on Tuesday morning local time ahead of the win or bust 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Egypt.
Earlier information suggested that the squad will not practice before stepping out onto the turf on Tuesday night following their late arrival in Alexandria from Abuja, with the players complaining they were tired after the long trip.
Following the withdrawal of Chad from the tournament, Egypt lead Group G of AFCON qualification with four points while Nigeria are second with two points in the kitty.
Wolves goalkeeper Carl Ikeme was not part of the traveling party to Alexandria due to illness.
