Christian Obodo Strikes For The Fourth Time In Six Games
Published: April 09, 2016Christian Obodo rescued a point for Concordia Chiajna as Petrolul Ploiesti were held to a 1-1 draw in the Romanian Liga 1 on Friday at Stadionul Concordia.
In their fight for survival, Concordia Chiajna were active in the winter transfer market, bringing in free agents Christian Obodo and Michael Odibe and they are reaping the rewards already.
Astafei gave the visitors the lead seven minutes out of intermission but Obodo restored parity for Concordia Chiajna when he converted a spot kick in the 58th minute.
Obodo, who is primarily a defensive midfielder, has notched four goals in his last six matches in all competitions.
The 31-year-old is under contract with Concordia Chiajna until the end of this season.
