Alex Iwobi Playing It Like Ozil, Notches Two Helpers As Arsenal Are Held By West Ham
Published: April 09, 2016
Alex Iwobi went the distance for the first time ever in the English Premier League as Arsenal surrendered a two-goal lead to draw 3-3 with West Ham at the Boleyn Ground on Saturday afternoon.
The Gunners took an early lead in the 18th minute through Mesut Oezil , who was teed up by Iwobi, then waited for goalkeeper Adrian to go down before sliding the ball into the bottom corner.
It became 2-0 in the 35th minute after Alexis Sanchez finished off a brilliantly created move by the Nigeria international.
A brace from Andy Carroll brought the scores back level before the interval and the West Ham striker completed his hat-trick in the 52nd minute before Laurent Koscielny restored parity for the Gunners 18 minutes later.
Arsenal have now scored nine goals in their last three games in the top-flight, with Alex Iwobi involved in five goals(2 goals and three assists)
Next up, the Londoners, who remain third on the table, trade tackles with Crystal Palace at the Emirates on Sunday, April 17.
