Sturm Graz Starlet Edomwonyi Sends Message To Siasia With First Professional Hat-Trick
Published: April 09, 2016
Bright Edomwonyi scored his first-ever professional hat-trick as Sturm Graz thrashed Altach 4-1 in the Austrian Bundesliga on Saturday.
The floodgates opened in the fourth minute when the former Flying Eagles star teed up Sascha Horvath before he put Sturm Graz 2-0 up in the 20th minute.
Edomwonyi went on to score two more goals in the second half in the 89th and 90th minute after Ngwat-Mahop had reduced the deficit in the 34th minute.
His treble in front of the Sturm Graz faithful at the UPC-Arena has taken his tally in the league to five goals, having hit target against Austria Vienna and Grodig.
Having made himself available for selection ahead of the start of the Nigeria U23s get-together, Edomwonyi has used his three goals to send the right message to coach Samson Siasia.
