Portland Timbers DP Fanendo Adi Continues To Set Records In Major League Soccer
Fanendo Adi notched his fourth goal of the season as Portland Timbers played out a 1-1 draw with LA Galaxy at the StubHub Center on Sunday evening in Major League Soccer.

Thanks to his 52nd minute goal, the Designated Player entered the history books by equaling the record for the most goals scored by a Timbers player against a Major League Soccer team.

Fanendo Adi has played down the feat, saying it would not have been possible if not for his teammates and also claimed that he was lucky.

“You just focus on the game and come to play. Maybe I’m lucky, but I think our team played well and created chances, so the goals come,” said Fanendo Adi, according to timbers.com.

Since joining from FC Copenhagen, Adi has bagged five goals another MLS team, Real Salt Lake.
