Nigeria U23s Open Olympic Games Campaign Against Japan; Avoid Brazil, Argentina In Draw
Published: April 14, 2016The Nigeria U23s have received a good draw at the Men’s Olympic Football Tournament at the 2016 Olympic Games, following the draw at the Estadio Maracana auditorium on Thursday.
They were handed an easy group which will see them face off against Sweden, Colombia and Japan in Group B.
The Dream Team VI will open their campaign against Japan at the Amazônia Arena on August 4 before squaring off against Sweden three days later, while their final group game is against Colombia at Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo on August 10.
Nigeria will be chasing a third medal in Brazil after winning the gold medal in Atlanta 1996 and finishing second in the Beijing Olympic Games 12 years later.
