Published: April 14, 2016
FK Ufa striker Sylvester Igboun and his ex-teammate Rilwan Hassan have advised the Nigeria U23s to pay special attention to FC Midtjylland attacking midfielder Kristoffer Olsson in their clash with Sweden at the 2016 Olympic Games.
Olsson, who was on the books of Arsenal prior to his move to Denmark, is regarded as one of the top talents in his homeland and has drawn comparisons with Mesut Ozil and former Gunners hero Fredrik Ljungberg.
“It is a good draw for Nigeria and I believe we can qualify for the quarterfinals,” said Igboun to allnigeriasoccer.com.
“Kristoffer is a very good player, very good with the ball and has an eye to set up goals. He plays like Ozil, he is an excellent player.”
Rilwan Haasan, who is presently Olsson’s teammate, added : “Kristoffer is a very skillful player, has good passes and a very hardworking player. He is not so fast but okay and doesn’t talk too much. He plays a bit like Ozil.”
Kristoffer Olsson was part of the Sweden U21s squad that won the European Under-21 Championship in the Czech Republic last summer.
The Dream Team VI face off against Sweden on Sunday, 7th August at the Amazônia Arena in their second Group B fixture.
