In the English Premier League, Liverpool saw off AFC Bournemouth 2-1 at the Vitality Stadium, with Sheyi Ojo and Jordon Ibe making the starting line-up of The Reds.

Ibe was credited with a helper in the second minute of first -half stoppage time, when he set up Daniel  Sturridge. Ojo went the full ninety minutes for the first time in the Premier League, while the number 33 came off in the 78th minute.

Over to the King Power Stadium, Emmanuel Emenike and Angelo Ogbonna played the entirety of West Ham’s 2-2 draw with Leicester City. Victor Moses was in action for 72 minutes.

100 miles away from the King Power Stadium, Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in a London derby. Togo international Emmanuel Adebayor hopped off the bench for the Eagles in the 64th minute and teed up Bolasie for theequalizer.

Super Eagles starlet Alex Iwobi subbed out in the 75th minute in his fourth start for the Gunners in the EPL.

Roma’s teenage star Sadiq Umar was an unused substitute in the capital team’s 3-3 draw with Atalanta in the Italian Serie A.

Elsewhere, Leon Balogun worked a ninety-minute shift in defense as Mainz surrendered a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 at home to Cologne in the German Bundesliga. The Nigeria defender found the net in the 49th minute.

Former Belgium youth international Funsho Ojo(Willem II) and right-back Tyronne Ebuehi(ADO Den Haag) started and played the full ninety minutes at the Koning Willem II Stadion. The visitors won 2-0.

Super Eagles hopeful Kenneth Otigba played the entirety of SC Heerenveen’s 1-1 draw with Excelsior at Stadion Woudestein in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Across the border in Belgium, Italy national-teamer Stefano Okaka Chuka worked another ninety-minute shift in attack as Anderlecht narrowly beat Club Brugge 1-0 in the Jupiler League playoffs. Teammate Imoh Ezekiel was missing on account of injury.

In the Portuguese top-flight, Super Eagle Abdullahi Shehu took the walk of shame in the 61st minute of Uniao da Madeira’s 4-3 loss to Pacos de Ferreira.

Still in Scandinavia, Suleiman Abdullahi scored the game-winner in Viking’s 2-1 win over Aalesund. He started the game along with Samuel Adegbenro apparently in attack, but the later was replaced seven minutes from time, having picked up a yellow card in the fourth minute.

On the other hand, new signing Usman Sale did not come off the bench for Viking, who now occupy fourth place in the Tippeligaen.

In the Swedish Allsvenskan, Dickson Etuhu was not involved in AIK’s 4-1 loss to IFK Norrkoeping.

Olarenwaju Kayode hopped off the bench in the 57th minute of Austria Vienna’s1-0 loss to Rapid Vienna. The former Flying Eagles star has 11 goals (6 assists) to his name from 29 matches in the Austrian Bundesliga.

In the Turkish Super Lig, out-of-favour Nigeria international Gbenga Arokoyo opened his account for
Gaziantepspor in their 4-1 loss to Istanbul Basaksehir . He went the full ninety minutes while teammate John Chibuike entered the fray in the 84th minute.

Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo started and played 86 minutes of
Kasimpas’s 2-1 loss at home to Kayserispor. Former Everton hero Yakubu Aiyegbeni was not on parade for the away team.

Aris Limassol thrashed Ermis Aradippou 3-0 in the Cypriot First Division. Emmanuel Okoye netted a consolation in the 87th minute of Pafos FC’s 3-1 defeat to Doxa Katokopia.

In the Czech Republic, Kehinde Fatai played the last 16 minutes of Sparta Prague’s 2-2 draw with Bohemians 1905.

Finally, in the Russian Premier League, Sylvester Igboun was in action for 90 minutes as FC Ufa beat Anzhi 2-0.
