Kelechi Iheanacho Nominated For Manchester City Goal Of The Month
Published: May 08, 2016One of Kelechi Iheanacho’s goals against Stoke City has been nominated for Manchester City’s Nissan Goal of the Month for April 2016.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side scored 17 goals last month and six of those strikes from a possible ten have been shortlisted for the accolade.
Iheanacho is up against Kevin de Bruyne, Aleksandar Kolarov, Sergio Aguero, Rodney Kongolo, Bersant Celina, Aaron Nemane and Nikita Parris for the award.
In the 74th minute of the contest against the Potters at the Etihad Stadium, the Nigeria international rounded goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard before slotting home into an empty net for his eleventh goal in a City shirt.
The 19-year-old Iheanacho will be looking to improve on his 13-goal haul in Sunday afternoon’s Premier League clash against Arsenal.
