Chelsea Talent Fikayo Tomori Delighted To Make His Professional Debut
Published: May 15, 2016Canada U20 international Fikayo Tomori was over the moon after making his competitive debut for the first team of Chelsea in their 1-1 draw with Leicester City in the English Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Only four days ago, the young defender made The Blues 18-man squad for the first time in his career against Liverpool but wasn’t given a run-out, whereas he stepped out onto the Stamford Bridge turf in the 60th minute today, replacing IvanoviÄ�.
“ What. A. Day. Proud to make my Chelsea debut today vs Leicester in front of the home fans at Stamford Bridge to cap off a great week!ð��� , ” Tomori tweeted.
The 18-year-old helped Chelsea U19s retain the UEFA Youth League last month, starring in the final against PSG.
Tomori was recently voted Chelsea Academy Player of the Year for 2016.
