Coach Manu Garba Invites 40 Players To Nigeria U17s Get Together
Published: May 28, 2016Golden Eaglets coach Manu Garba has invited 40 players for a training camp ahead of the 2017 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations qualifiers against Niger Republic in August, the Nigeria Football Federation has announced.
The Nigeria U17s hopefuls will begin training at the NFF/FIFA Goal Project in Abuja on Monday, May 30th, and Garba will run the rule over the invited players for three weeks before shortlisting the successful players.
Having said that, the NFF and officials of the Golden Eaglets have advised that players within the stipulated age bracket can attend the screening exercise even though they were not invited.
Players coming for the screening exercise will take care of their accommodation and feeding, and must bring official documents to back up their claims that they are within the stipulated age bracket for the competition.
The 2017 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations will take place in Madagascar from 2nd – 16th April next year.
