Hull City Old Boy Okocha, Odubajo React To The Tigers Promotion To Premier League
Published: May 29, 2016Former Nigeria skipper Austin Okocha was delighted with Hull City’s promotion to the Premier League after beating Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 at the Wembley Stadium on Saturday evening.
Okocha had assisted the Tigers gain promotion to the English topflight during the 2007-2008 campaign, playing 18 games and notching 3 assists over the course of the season.
“Congratulations to my former club Hull City for gaining immediate promotion to Barclays premier league,” Okocha said on Twitter.
Former England U20 international Moses Odubajo worked a ninety-minute for the KC Stadium outfit against Sheffield Wednesday and was overjoyed after the playoff final but shied away from making a comment.
The Hull City number two simply tweeted : “Speechless !!”
Odubajo was part of the Brentford squad that got beaten by Middlesbrough in the Championship playoff semifinal in 2015 and suffered heartbreak with Leyton Orient in 2014 in the League One final.
