Chelsea Hail Fikayo Tomori After Impressive Debut For England U19s
Published: June 05, 2016
English Premier League club Chelsea have congratulated their Young Player of the Year Fikayo Tomori following his impressive debut for England U19s in their 2-0 loss to Mexico on Saturday.
Born on December 19, 1997 in Calgary, Tomori had caps for the U20 squad of Canada before he was convinced to defend the colours of England, while he remains eligible to represent Nigeria until he plays competitively at senior level for the foreign countries.
Against Mexico at the Centro de Alti Rendimiento, Tomori starred in the center of defense, so much so that he was one of the four players that worked a ninety-minute shift for the Young Lions.
Chelsea tweeted on Sunday morning: “Congratulations to Fikayo Tomori who made his debut for England Under-19s yesterday.”
